The birth of United Buddhist Order of Malaysia (UBOM) was on 18th October 2020 and today marked its 1st anniversary.
Exactly a year ago on the 18 October 2020, a very significant and wholesome event took place. The birth of UBOM marked the beginning of a platform for all Buddhists to come together by putting aside all differences, to unite and work together for the well being and happiness of all beings.
The Malaysian Sangha Fund has been established to support the monastics for their medical costs as well as their education. However, the medical coverage for the Sangha is often inadequate. Thus, a Sangha Group Medical Insurance Plan is introduced to provide better medical care for monastics.
**This plan will be fully funded by the Malaysian Sangha Fund. All Sangha members fulfilling the following requirements are welcome to apply： ✅ Sangha Member ✅ Malaysian or non-Malaysian with valid Visa/Pass. ✅ 16 to 64 years old (age nearest birthday) ✅ Endorsed by a Supporting Buddhist Organization

We would like to recommend devotees take this 3 Vassa months to listen to Dhamma talks especially during this pandemic where a lot of people have suffering in their hearts. We embrace the Dhamma with our hearts. We listen to Dhamma to help us in our daily lives and at the same time we can help others. It would be good if everyone can make a determination to listen to Dhamma talks every day at a certain time and to make it into a habit. Ajahns Thanissaro’s website has many many Dhamma talks so we can listen to one after another everyday. If we can complete all the talks in 3 months even better. So we encourage you to do this everyday for 3 months.
